I ran across a pattern called Irish Lace and Roses Afghan from Annie's Attic and fell in love with it. I decided to make it for my mother's birthday in September. It will be Hunter Green and Soft White so it goes with her bedroom colors. So far I've completed two of the panels and am close to finishing the third. It's a pretty easy repeat for the panels. They are each 110 rows long but they fly by. I still need to get the soft white in the sport weight to make the roses out of.
I really love the way they are joined, it looks like it's braided. Here's the progress so far.
I just started working on this same afghan! Do you have a picture of one of your panels close-up? I'm not sure I'm doing this right lol.
ReplyDeleteI tried to start this pattern yesterday and don't know what I'm doing wrong. Noticed the color is teal, which seems like a mistake, but after the first row, you're supposed to have 4 shells and I'm only counting 3? Did you run into mistakes in the pattern?
ReplyDeleteHi Dawn,
ReplyDeleteI just pulled out the pattern and checked to see if I'd made any notes and I didn't have any problems. I'm not sure what you may be doing wrong. All I can suggest is to make sure you count the stitches as they are listed. I was really surprised that I didn't have any problems when I was making it as it was the first afghan I had made. I hope it works out for you because it was a fun afghan to make.
